Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by. It’s Passover and I’m overdo for some Writing Life updates, so let’s pop an almond macaroon and let’s gooooo…

In late March, my drabble (a 100-word story), “Please Dispose of Your Heart Properly” was featured in Microfiction Monday Magazine’s 127th edition. Link here.

In early April, one of the longest pieces I’ve published recently, “The Remembrance Engine” was published at Penumbric Speculative Fiction Magazine. I was very excited to get an acceptance not just with this story, but also this magazine that has been publishing some truly edgy stuff.

The story is directly inspired by the loss of my dad back in 2009 and the struggles I faced afterwards. It imagines a world where drugs are legal, but often lead to lethal ends. I described the story on social media as “out there, even for me,” and I think that’s accurate. It’s got a loose retelling of the Adam and Even story, lots of drugs, some mild sex, and a good dose of violence. 18+, please.

Find that story here.

I’ve also got recent acceptances from Underland Arcana for a story that I have been trying to sell for YEARS and the other drabble that I wrote last year, “Dig, Dig, Die” will be featured in the Planetside anthology from Shacklebound press.

The No Ordinary Mortals anthology (which includes my story, “Life in a Glass House”) from Rogue Blade Entertainment is still scheduled to come out in 2022.

As always, check out my twitter for all recent related updates.

Stay classy, San Diego.
