Hi! I’ve had some success lately writing in the micro fiction form. Tiny little stories, in the form of drabbles (100 words exactly) or generally under 500 words.

In late September, my second appearance in Hearth & Coffin Literary Journal appeared in their “micro.” issue. My story, “Ladies, Sharpen Your Fingernails” was originally written for the Strange Machines: An Anthology of Dark User Manuals book and got a lovely personal rejection there. I was thrilled when I got the acceptance from H&G. They seem to “get” me. 🙂

And, in forthcoming publication news, I got a word yesterday I placed a second story in an upcoming Shacklebound Books anthology, Chronos 2. My drabble, “For A Limited Time” (about a strange encounter at a checkout counter) was accepted earlier in the summer and now my story, “Now is Not Now” (about a time-based super villian plot) will join it. Not sure on release date on that book, but this will be third (and fourth) appearance in a Shacklebound Books. Thank you to publisher, Eric Fomley, for believing in my words.

Till next time. Stay classy, San Diego.
