Overdue Updates

Well, looks like my incentive to post more on the blog this year got eaten up along with my homework.

But mid-February is a good time to start! Couple of links to share and hope for some good news in the inbox in the near future..

Let’s start with my first publication of 2025, a return appearence at the Simultaneous Times Podcast featuring my story, “Proceed to the Route.” This piece, about traffic and robots, was inspired by sitting in my car, probably in downtown Miami, while construction raged in all directions. I’ve also done some readings the past few weeks. First, I made my FIFTH appearence at The Story Hour, reading a story from my debut collection, “Number One Hit.” It was my first pro sale back in 2015 and I remain very proud of this story and excited about future possibilites related to that world (more on that later this year, I hope!).

I also particpated in a very fun panel discussion with other authors featured in the Even Cozier Cosmic anthology from Underland Press. We talked about what cozy cosmic horror is to each of us as well as read snippets of our stories.

I have two drabbles in the next anthology from Shacklebound Books, releasing February 20th, looks like on eBook only at this point via Amazon:

And I have a reprint coming from the spectacular online magazine, Bulb Culture Collective, which highlights stories that were once online but have since been removed or erased. In my case, the story is “All My Memories Are You” from the incredible perhappened mag, which sadly has no archive available online. That releases March 25.

I’ve been sending out a lot of stories since the beginning of the year. When/If the acceptances start flowing in, I will let you know.
