It’s always a pleasure to revisit an old story. In today’s case, my 2021 perhappened mag publication, “All My Memories Are You” was republished by Bulb Culture Collective, a magazine devoted to “shining a light” as they so lovingly phrase it, on previously published poems and stories that were once online, but have since vanished into darkness.

In my case, I was in one of the last issues of perhappened. At some point, they went on indefinite hiatus and then later, someone stopped paying for the domain, because the website just disappeared and no online archive exists.

Which is why I’m so thankful for a place like Bulb Culture Collective, which enthuastically embraces reprints and does a great job of promoting them.

“All My Memories Are You” is one of those rare stories that never recieved a rejection. I wrote it for the perhappned themed issue, DISGUISE, and it was accepted for that issue.

I wrote it as a challenge to myself to write something far from the speculative. It was freeing! I also like experimenting in second-person. It still feels rare and exciting for me (even though it’s not my first second-person publication).

I hope you’ll check out “All My Memories Are You”!
